
Board paddling combines strength, balance, and surf skill. Using a racing board, competitors paddle from the beach, around buoys, and back through the surf. Events include individual board races, board rescue (with a swimmer and paddler), and board relay teams, where three paddlers complete consecutive legs.
Simulated rescue events where competitors paddle to a “swimmer” and place them on a board and bring them back to shore. These races highlight lifesaving skills, speed, and technique.
